I'm working on a proper deconstruction of Kinsella's appearance on yesterday's Croen Show and while I sit here looking at the video, I have to wonder; Is Kinsella using botox on his forehead? He's pushing 50 and, unless he's intentionally furrowing his brow, you could play a game of snooker on that thing. That's not normal is it?

Background on P-203
I'm going to repeat here, a comment I made this weekend over at Free Dominion :
On Sunday, our support campaign was nothing more than a simple declaration occupying space in some of our in-boxes.
On Monday, it became a pamphlet that was whipped-up on a word processor.
On Tuesday, we did a group edit on the materials and raised over $1,300.00 to cover printing and distribution costs.
On Wednesday, it got printed as well as e-mailed/faxed to all CPC MPs and numerous media outlets
On Thursday, the ground troops mobilized
On Friday, P-203 made it past the first hurdle.
On Saturday, I watched an individual (Jeff Ingraham [sp?]) speak in favour of P-203, in front of 2,000 delegates and on national television, quoting the exact text of the pamphlet (a number words that I, myself, had written) to a standing ovation.
Think about that for a few minutes and understand what we just did; A relatively small group (less than 15 of us behind the scenes) took a simple idea and turned it into something that motivated the entire CPC convention, all in less than a week and with next to nothing for a budget. How freakin' cool is that?!!
Special K and Lucy need to be scared of free speech on the internet. If we can pull something like this off on an ad-hoc basis, God help them when we get organized...
The video below is footage from CPAC taken during the debate/vote on P-203:
AVI (May not work in FireFox)
WMV FLV
(Yes, I know the clip could have been edited better to eliminate the irrelevant material at the beginning and end but frankly I don't give a fig. Here's why: I was lucky that I was able to get a VHS recording of the video in question. Said VHS recording (SLP) was somehow incompatible with the VCR I have hooked up to the vid-box which is, in turn, connected to my computer. To replace my computer's VCR with the VCR that recorded the video would have required that I disassemble the entire A/V rack connected to my computer. Not gonna happen. Instead I went out and bought a DVD recorder and spliced it in between the original VCR and the home theater system and I would have been able to get a digital recording of the video but for the fact that I had the wrong damned blanks on hand. "No problem", I thought, "I'll just pick the right ones up tomorrow after work." So I did. But I forgot to write down what I needed and I guessed. When I got home I found out that I guessed wrong. After exchanging the wrong ones and getting back home, I was able to digitize the recording. Cool!!! But wait, not so fast... The digitized recording was incompatible with my video editing software. Not cool! There was a bright side though! Being a good little boy-scout I have video conversion software. A half hour later I had something that I could work with. Needless to say, after 2 days of fiddle-fudging around, I had absolutely no desire to spend another couple of hours prettying up a video that's only going to be seen by a small group of political junkies like us. - On the bright side, now that I'm all dialed-in, this process should go a lot smoother in the future. Mike Brock is going to be on the Coren Show vs The Lying Jackal tomorrow evening. Expect to see some footage from that posted on Wednesday.)
Anyway, we did it. Congratulations to all of those who worked behind the scenes to make this happen. You know who you are...

The Conservative Party of Canada is holding their Policy Convention this weekend and resolution P-203 has been put forward for consideration. The resolution reads as follows:
Modify HRC Jurisdiction
PROPOSED BY VICTORIA AND KELOWNA - LAKE COUNTRY
iii) The Conservative Party supports legislation to remove authority
from the Canadian Human Rights Commission and Tribunal to regulate,
receive, investigate or adjudicate complaints related to Section 13 of
the Canadian Human Rights Act.
I, as an individual, this blog and numerous other bloggers are in support of Resolution P-203 and we put forward the following statement of support (Updated 11/11/08):
RESOLUTION P-203: DECLARATION of SUPPORT
We strongly support those members of the Conservative Party of Canada who seek to repeal Sections 13 and 54 of the Canadian Human Rights Act.
Sections 13 and 54 of the Canadian Human Rights Act are a direct attack on the freedom of expression guaranteed to us under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The provisions of these sections allow the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal to prosecute anyone alleged to have said or written something “likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt” whether there is a living, breathing victim or not.
Vague concepts such as speech or writing “liable to cause hatred or contempt" are the basis of expensive state-funded prosecution of individuals. The statute provides no objective legal test for “hate” or any objective means of determining what constitutes “contempt”. As a result, the CHRC is used by various groups and individuals, as a risk-free taxpayer funded method to silence their critics and those they disagree with. CHRC investigators have testified that that “freedom of speech is an American concept” and therefore not valid in Canada. Such statements are contrary to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but are standard operating procedure at the CHRC.
Commissioners of the Canadians Human Rights Tribunal, who are not judges and are often not even lawyers, have held that "truth" is not a defence against prosecution under Section 13. Intent or fair comment are also not defenses. In fact, there is not a single listed defence under Section 13! Because of the lack of any defenses, the Tribunal has a 100% conviction rate since 1978. The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal routinely ignores the principles of fundamental justice, such as the rules of evidence, and these kangaroo courts, even allow hearsay evidence. The CHRA provides for each Tribunal to make up the rules as they go.
Every journalist, writer, Internet webmaster, publisher and private citizen in Canada can be the subject of a Human Rights complaint for expressing an opinion or telling the truth. Given the ambiguity of Section 13, it is virtually impossible for any individual to determine if they might be in violation of Section 13. Arbitrary censorship and punishment are wrong, and cannot be justified in a free society.
Please support Resolution P-203, and preserve Canadians' Charter right to freedom of expression.
*News!*
We've developed a pamphlet that will be distributed to all of the delegates at the convention and faxed to all sitting CPC MP's. The faxburst starts tonight. The blogburst starts tomorrow.
.pdf version here . .doc version here . Open them in your browser or download them for printing.
Click on the images for larger, downloadable image files:
Conservatives are folks who stand up for freedom and less government intervention in our lives. The party that says that it represents our values needs to reflect those values in their policies. The above resolution won't be voted on unless there's a strong will from the grassroots at the convention. If you're at the convention or know someone who is, please encourage them to consider and vote on the resolution.
****You wanna know something really cool? We needed money to get the pamphlets printed. Word went out. Within the span of about 6 hours, we raised over $1,300.00. SWEET!!!

Conservatives in Canada, unfortunately, have some retards in their ranks:
As Canadian conservatives and Harper government supporters, many BT’s complain of the anti-conservative everything. Some of us, rightly, complained this week about the tackiness of the back stabbing being thrown Sarah Palin’s way. Yet, scrolling down the aggregator, I am reading every type of anti-Obama post imaginable.
What on earth is going on? No politician is God (and that includes Stephen Harper). It is not the democrats or the media who have put the “One” on Obama. It is all those who are angry that he was elected. But, elected he was. And, unlike Bush in 2000, he won fair and square.
[...]
Anyway, I like to think we conservative are above the fray. Yet, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. We seem to have gotten caught up in the ”disagree no matter what” approach to debating and in so doing, are showing the same disregard for an opposing opinion as the anti-conservative media and trolls.
Let’s all (and I include myself in this) tone done the rhetoric. If we want a new atmosphere on Parliament Hill and the blogosphere, let’s be part of the solution rather than the problem. Surely, we can agree to disagree with respect.
Conservatives in the U.S., unfortunately, have some retards in their ranks:
What’s more, I think he will damage this country with bad policies.
I’m not going to pretend otherwise. Inevitably, he is going to take
actions that I think are disastrous, and somebody will come back and
say: “Hey, Patterico! I thought you said Barack Obama was a good man!”
Yes, but I never said he wasn’t going to do horrible things. It’s quite clear he will.
What’s more, there is no way in hell he is going to do away with the
poisonous atmosphere in Washington, and anyone who thinks that he can
is a fool. It will be amusing to watch him try.
But I make no apologies for saying he is a good man. He is my President. He is our President.
And while he hasn’t always done good, I do believe he is fundamentally
a good man and a patriot who wants to make this country a better place.
And let us not overlook the tremendous symbol we have in a black
President. I am not convinced Obama will get us past racial strife, and
indeed, I worry that the opposite may happen. I hope I’m wrong. But
regardless of that, it is a very good thing that we can say that this
country is willing to elect a black President. It shows that anyone can
succeed in this country, regardless of race. Anyone.
We have to get past this idea that we have to personally demonize
the other guy in order to fight his policies. We’ve said some spirited
things about Obama in the heat of battle, and we’ve meant them. But
he’s not evil. Let the Democrats be the party who demonizes the other
side as evil.
Let us describe Barack Obama as a good but flawed man who is likely
to do some very bad things to this country. But let us nevertheless
wish him well, if not politically, then at least personally.
Right. We have to be nice to our opponents so we don't "look" mean spirited. Pussies! F**k that noise :
In an political environment wherein the left has managed to turn the introduction of inconvenient facts into “smears” or “racism,” this willingness, on the part of some conservatives, to believe themselves capable of seizing the moral high ground by essentially giving cover to the demonstrably bad by allowing that it is merely “misguided,” is yet another step toward the very kind of partisan pragmatism that has cost Republicans so dearly, and that, even more troubling, has served to devalue language and further institutionalize a dangerous idea of how interpretation works.
[...]
Here, similarly, progressives — who ran a thuggish campaign that consisted of truth squads, attempts to have advertising removed, the personal and very public destruction of private citizens (from Joe the Plumber to Trig Palin) — can take from “high minded” posts like Patterico’s the message that they can always count on conservative self-righteousness to protect them from recrimination, that their pragmatism and cynicism will always prove successful strategically so long as conservatives maintain a desire to appear above the fray.
[...]
And I likewise refuse to allow that a man whose thuggish deeds and unsavory associations have defined him be granted the honor of “good man.” Because to do so is to make a mockery of good men, and to cede yet another bit of our ability to evaluate and describe and conclude in good faith into a bit of “hate speech” that won’t help the GOP regain power.
To which I say, outlaws ain’t team players. And it’s time to be outlaws.
Outlaws aint team players. And it's time to be outlaws...

As a Canadian looking south on your election day, and knowing that BHO wants to bring the US in line with Canada, I thought I'd let you know what you're in for if he gets elected today:
- We have no property rights. Period. When the Marxists wrote the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, they conveniently forgot to write that part in... Don't believe me? Google: ""Canada charter" and "property rights""
- We don't have the freedom of speech. Up here we have organizations called "Human Rights Commissions" (thought police). They monitor all means of communication for what they deem as hate speech and then persecute anyone they want for any reason they want. A recent example; A preacher wrote an op-ed in a local paper discussing his religion's position on homosexuality. It was considered "hate speech". The preacher was subsequently tried and found guilty and his sentence was a fine and the stipulation that he never publicly disseminate his Christian position on homosexuality ever again. Don't buy it? Google: "Rev. Boission"
- We have fully funded socialized health care. Unfortunately, after consuming more than 1/3 of all tax dollars, it still doesn't cover eye care, dental care or prescription drugs. We graduate thousands of Doctors and Nurses every year through our tax dollar subsidized med schools but we pay them crap. The smart ones move to the U.S. where they can earn real money. If my dog gets injured, I can get him into a clinic where an MRI can be done within 24 hours. Because of rationing, if Grandma falls and breaks a hip, I can't get her into an MRI suite for at least 3 months. Unless I fly her to Montana. Then she gets taken care of quickly.
- We're not allowed to expose ourselves to media sources of our choosing. Our CRTC (like your FCC) allowed Al Jazeera to be broadcast cross country 6 months before they allowed FNC to be broadcast. They wouldn't have allowed FNC at all but for all of the bootleg satellite dishes that were going up due to demand for U.S. feeds. Sat radio came out and I had to get a bootleg subscription just so I could have some choice in what I listened to. Tammy, if you're reading this; I miss you on Sirius.
- Taxes? The average wage earner has better than 50% of all earnings taken away in federal, provincial and civic taxes. Think about that for a minute... Up here we work 6 months out of the year just to cover the tax bill.
Is that a path you folks in the U.S. really want to go down?
vote wisely...

“Howdy y’all” Said the president the crowd was hushed with anticipation this was his resignation speech his last speech as President of the United States of America. Would he admit all his wrong doings as the left wanted all this time?
“Y’all know me by now, and if you are a dem the mere mention of my name will send the ticker thumpin an extra few beats a minute. I’m, George Bush and this is supposed to be my resignation speech.”
“You know during my term I noticed there were a few around the world who were somewhat tepid towards the administration. I mean it must have something to do with public relations, people who supported Chavez and Kim Jong il while they make themselves dictators for life, Castro who made himself a dictator until life support and they even gave more approval to Robert Mugabe’s financial policies than mine! Even though with the latest market correction you still don’t need a million US dollars to buy a loaf of bread unlike the Zimbucks. Now since I’m far better than these animals, do I shoot journalists, did I at least take my case to the UN before invading Georgia, I sure did. I had protests, my new comrades never get protests, their human rights violations are legendary yet generate nary a whisper across the countries universities. Some of you might have caught on where this is going.”
“As you look around you will notice the strong Marine Corps presence. Well there’s a reason for that, all you people in the press have upset me, you really pissed me off. Your biased views and making fun of me, calling me a dictator time after time, well maybe I should act like one, y’all know what Castro would do, you all have to die.”
“Now I don’t want there to be any hard feelings about this. I’m only doing it to build warmth and friendliness. See I can’t help noticing that y’all seem to like dictators who kill journalists. So I figure if I pop a few of you off you will start to like me a little more. Are there any Questions so far?”
At this point someone from CNN raised their hand and said “Excuse me MR Bush, but,….”
Bang, bang rang out the double tap from the M16.
At that point 2 marines dragged the body from the room.
The President and dictator for life at this point smirked knowingly winked at the Marine Colonel nearby. Things were well in hand his Praetorians were well trained at the secret base set up by FEMA and Donald Rumsfield. The President for life resumed his speech.
“Now you students who remain so quiet when China Obliterates Tibet, when Muslims go nuts in the Philippines, well it’s expected you will also remain quiet now, feel free to use the same rationalizations you did for Darfur, Timor, etc. And sleep tight or the chains will bite, heh, heh get it? See that’s a threat.”
“I see by some of you look confused. well after the casualties match those in the countries of the commie t shirts you wear, you will somehow lose your naivety and your confusion lest you too end up in the gulags, killing fields or rolled over by the cultural revolution.”
“Anyway I’m here today to announce myself as dictator for life. Yes, yes you prattled on for years about how I’m some terrible dictator so this should shock absolutely no one on the left. Obviously it will surprise zero of you to hear that I’m not stepping down. I wouldn’t want the last eight years of your boiler plate ramblings about how I’m a fascist dictator to be a bunch of long horned lies, now would I?”
“So on the fourth be not troubled about whether to vote for McCain or that fine upstanding Obama chap. I’ll be around as long as Castro was. So y’all can put your little minds at rest. After all you called me a dictator more than once and by God, now I will be.”
“My first order of business will be to increase surveillance. All you suffering from the Bush derangement syndrome be careful there’s only so much room in the Gulags, eh. Yet even though there’s limited space I’m assured there’s never a delay getting people in and no overcrowding, I have no idea how that Pol Pot guy can do it but for diversity sake we decided to let the dictator run the gulags. He promises efficiency and no need to waste tax money on affordable housing projects.”
“Mr Pot has dealt with urban sprawl in the past. He promises me that we can cut our greenhouse gas emissions by one third in just a few years, now lets all hope for change on this. By the time my trusted advisor the esteemed Mr Pot, has his “fields o bones” program in operation for 10 or so years we guarantee all Kyoto milestones will be met. I expect to feel a lot of love from the left on this. More than I ever got for having a more enviro friendly home than Gore or Clinton ever had.”
“We also have a little surprise for the KOS crowd. Every time one of their IP’s is tracked in every Urban centre soldiers of the US infantry stand by to take you down or out. The funny thing was they all volunteered for this. Y’all called me an evil person so often that I kinda know it will make you happy to have your worst fears confirmed as you are shipped off to Gulags for a little reeducation. Maybe any of you who survive will come out acting like Michelle Malkins who will be given the post minister of the interior.”
“In conclusion many of you out there said that the war was all about oil, said I wanted to own the oil, that I was a dictator, well enough of these unfounded rumors. Now I’ll give them a solid foundation, I’ll be the dictator you wanted. Oil well Chavez has oil and in about 5 minutes the marines will start landing to bloody well take it. Congress will also be effected, we expect it to be a lot smaller by the time the new constitution is signed into law, but by god those who survive will have good reasons to call me what the left already does.”
At this point Mr Bush slowly raised his arms forward and skyward It was the signal for everyone to clap.
Only one journalist survived.

From Moonbattery :
HuffPo Moonbat Pokes 222 Holes in Lesbian Lover
Maybe we ought to elect Barack Obama after all. If we don't turn the country over to moonbats, they might get mad — and as Carol Burger demonstrates, progressives can get pretty scary when they're angry.
A Nutroots Obamunist who has been covering the election for the
Huffington Post, Burger was "disgusted with the U.S." and considered
moving to Panama or Mexico. She recently blew her top at a former
lesbian lover and stabbed her 222 times with a Phillips-head
screwdriver.
Well, I guess that's 2 less votes for Obama...

October is Islamic History Month and, before the celebration passes, we thought we'd get into the spirit too. Here's some "Islamic History":
Way back in the day, the prophet Muhammad took a young bride. A very young bride. Her name was Aisha and she was only 6 years old when she was forced to marry the prophet. Said prophet popped his young wife's cherry when she was 9 years old.
Musical interlude:
Muhammad the pedophile prophet... Anyone feel like celebrating that history?
