It was a simple question but Dion couldn't answer it:
The clip and subsequent story made it's way on to Canada's most popular daily political show, "Mike Duffy Live" where a Liberal talking head tried to claim that it was due to a problem with Dion's hearing:
Yeah, well there's a problem with that... Actually, there are a couple of problems with that... Dion is running to become the Prime Minister of Canada. If he has a hearing problem as the spin meister claims, wouldn't his handlers have stuck hearing aids into his ears months ago in order to avoid such problems? Secondly, Dion himself states several times in the first clip that he doesn't "understand" the question that's being asked. Not that he can't hear it... Now, with not "understanding" the question, we have to come to one of either two conclusions;
Dion could not understand the question because it was posed to him in english instead his mother tongue of french, or
Dion is an idiot.
If it's a language issue, how can we, as Canadians, vote for him when he can't answer a simple question posed to him in a language spoken by 90% of the Canadian population? If he's an idiot, which is the direction I'm leaning, how could the Liberal Party position him as their leader in the first place?
Those questions aside, the Liberal operatives in the MSM are extremely pissed that one of their own (Duffy) had the gall to run with the story on his national news program:

Animal rights groups are up in arms over an annual festival in Peru that serves up hundreds of fried cats to locals.
The “Gastronomical Festival of the Cat” sees townsfolk in Canete, near Lima, feast on the fluffy pets for two days.
They believe that eating cat burgers — and fried cat legs and tails — can cure bronchial disease.
It is also believed that feline meat serves as an aphrodisiac.
The cats are bred especially for this festival — which takes place at the end of September on the Day of Santa Ifigenia.
But it has generated fury among animal rights groups.
“Having toured slaughterhouses for dogs in Taiwan, horses in Texas, and chickens and cows in Europe, PETA’s staff says the last thing we need to do is add yet another poor animal to the list of those being frightened and slaughtered for a taste,” a PETA spokesperson said.
Right. For those of you of the "calander challenged" persuasion, the Canadian Thanksgiving celebration is this weekend. Hundreds of thousands of turkeys, ducks and pigs are going to be frightened and slaughtered so we can fill our bellies. That's a good thing.
When you think about it, it makes a lot of sense... First the story:
Bizarre and dangerous acts of violence against Liberal supporters with signs on their lawns spread into the riding of Parkdale-High Park yesterday, leaving police and party officials baffled.
The 12 new acts of vandalism – cutting of brake, phone and cable lines and graffiti defacing homes and garages – come on the heels of 14 similar incidents reported Saturday in St. Paul's riding.
The 26 incidents are likely connected and the work of one person since they are so similar in nature, Liberal party insiders say.
"There is this hatred thing that is so upsetting – hatred of Liberals," said Carolyn Bennett, Liberal incumbent for St. Paul's. "There's no other excuse for this in terms of this kind of intimidation.
"That's what's so upsetting. We don't know who's doing it at all. We just think this is somebody who really is not well."
Now, you've got to ask yourself which party is it likely that these vandals are supporting. Is it;
a) The Conservative Party? Sadly, no. Conservatives are generally older, more responsible and believe in democracy and the rule of law. Only a retard would think otherwise.
b) The Christian Heritage Party? Highly unlikely. Think 10 Commandments.
c) The Liberal Party? Trashing their own signs and supporters? Not so much. (unless you think the Jews were behind 9-11)
d) The Green Party? Possible but not probable. Spray paint was used. Greenies don't use spray paint because of the ozone depleeting aerosols. Add the fact that there was no granola residue found at the scene and we can safely eliminate the greenies...
e) The Marijuana Party? Naw... The type of vandalism discussed in the story takes motivation and planning. Pot heads aren't motivated unless they're headed out to score a few more grams.
f) The Marxist-Leninist Party? Plausable. Marxist tactics were used but the marxists wouldn't have anything to gain by attacking Liberal signs.
e) The NDP? Not only possible, but absolutely probable. The libs and the dippers are in a very close race in that riding. Dippers, sharing marxist ideology, are well known for their intimidation tactics. Dipper signs were left standing.
So you see, it makes perfect sense...
Methinks Jack Layton needs to reign-in his shock-troops before they kill someone.

Neighbors of Andy Lacasse said the sign, which reads "Obama Half-Breed Muslin [sic]," breaches the fine line between free speech and inappropriateness.
"I got nothing good to say about Obama," Lacasse told News 13. "If I see anybody touching that sign, I got a club sitting right over there."
Lacasse put the sign on his lawn Saturday. A Korean War veteran, he said he was a registered Democrat until Obama won the nomination.
"That's the Democratic Party. They're nothing but a bunch of cutthroats," Lacasse said. "Like I always said, you show me an honest politician, I'll show you an honest thief."
In a confidential internal memorandum obtained by Face The State (PDF), the Colorado Democracy Alliance outlines a roster of "operatives" who worked for Democratic victory in the 2006 general election. The document outlines specific tasks for various members of the state's liberal infrastructure, including a campaign to "educate the idiots," assigned to the state's AFL-CIO union. Among the operation's intended targets: "minorities, GED's, drop-outs."
Individuals named in the document, marked "CONFIDENTIAL," "for internal use only," and "DO NOT DISTRIBUTE," are high-level elected Democrats including House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, former Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald, as well as Gov. Bill Ritter's press aide and former campaign chief Evan Dreyer. All are specially marked as "off-the-record or covert."
Mentioned as a "critical contact" was Dominic DelPapa, a partner at Ikon Public Affairs. DelPapa was at the center of recent controversy stemming from the February leak of a confidential memo he authored detailing a multi-million dollar "foot on throat" attack on Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer, among others.
