One thought - and I suppose it's not actually an original point. Why is Mark Steyn being sued? I mean, I've listened to the Socks - but they aren't the actual complainants; Elmasry is. However, they seem to be the spokespeople for Elmasry the Puppetmaster (or the "dummies" for Elmasry the Ventroliquist, or the "monkeys" for Elmasry the Organ Grinder - pick your own analogy). Anyway, they claim that the HRC complaint is not about censorship; that they aren't trying to prevent anyone from speaking - they say they only want the "right to a response" - specifically in Macleans magazine. Ok, so again I ask (the obvious) - why are they (and/or their Puppetmaster) suing Mark Steyn? How can he give them the "remedy" they're seeking. I don't think he owns a newspaper or magazine - he's simply a freelance writer. Guess it is about censorship.
