There’s a pretty shocking video up on youtube showing what appears to be a soldier throwing a puppy off of a cliff:

Notice that there was no context provided with the video clip. No links to any news stories. Nothing. For all we know, just by watching the video alone, it could have been faked out in the Arizona desert. But still, if it is legit, it’s pretty disgusting.
This post isn’t about a heartless soldier though, it’s about brain-dead leftists. The Canadian Cesspool posted the video clip with the following comment:
Sometimes a dead soldier isn’t always a bad thing, if you catch my drift.
Killing a soldier because he appears to have killed a puppy? A little extreme no? Especially without knowing the back-story or if it’s even legit? Anyway, leftists are emotional thinkers so we’ll give them a little leeway on their reactions. Here are some of the comments on the post:

What I find even more outrageously sick than this David Mortiari character are the people who are freaking out over the sickening display of cruelty to the dog, rather than the 10s of thousands of Iraqi civillians who have had their lives snuffed out just like the dog.

They all seem pretty outraged… They’re faking it.
How can we tell? Well, consider that this is the same group that was very recently outraged at the thought that a baby, killed in the womb, during the commission of a crime, would be considered a person, for the purposes of convicting the criminal.
They don’t care about dead babies.How could someone care about a dead puppy when they don’t care about a dead baby? They cant! Well, not unless they’re completely mentally unstable (which is entirely possible with that group)
Naww… I’m inclined to think that they’re all cold, heartless frigs who are simply feigning indignation in an attempt to justify their hatred of soldiers and the military…
Ok, so there was more come out on this story. Supposedly the dog was already dead and the sound of him crying was added in later… his feet were bound, that is the way they found him… now that may all be rumor… but that is what I’ve heard.
I also will not watch the video, no need to.
But even if the puppy was alive, doesn’t that speak to the desensitizing of our troops from consistently viewing violence?
Not necessarily, no. There are currently 1.3 million active duty members serving in the US military. There were 2 soldiers involved in this incident. That equates to just over 1 one-millionth of a percent. Statistically insignificant.
Wanna narrow that down a little? There are currently 250,000 active duty soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. Again, these 2 soldiers equate to 0.0008 of a percent of the total force stationed in those countries.
If it gets above the 10% mark then maybe we can look at the desensitization theory…
I like dogs…if this gutless bug-Fucker did this in front of me I’d be tempted to turn him into dogfood with my M60E3…which I would feed to that pup’s litter mates….THEN I’d snicker about it.
At least I’d receive more human mercy in a court martial that the sick fuck I chopped up showed that helpless puppy.

My capacity for independent critical thinking tells me this video needs close independent investigation as the behaviour it prepossess to show is inconsistent with how we expect US Marines to behave with helpless “non combatants”….if the investigation checks out, as either real or a “joke” this guy is a sad example of a Marine and I wouldn’t want him near me in a fire fight…he’s too much of a coward or a sadist to be empowered as a soldier.
